About the Role
Maghera Developments are seeking a Buyer to support our Modular Operations team.
Your new role:
You will be joining a respected construction firm with a strong presence across Northern Ireland, known for delivering high-quality projects in the Modular Construction Sector. Based in Co. Down, the company continues to expand, offering excellent opportunities for ambitious professionals to gain hands-on experience and develop their expertise in a fast-paced environment.
As a Company Buyer, you will support the commercial team in procuring goods and services for on-going jobsites.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing Material Purchasing, agreeing rates with suppliers & monitoring lead-in times for Education Sites.
Assisting with the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation
Supporting contract administration and procurement processes
Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients under the guidance of senior Quantity Surveyor
Appointing work to Subcontractors
Contributing to project meetings

Requirements
What you'll need to succeed:
Some industry experience, ideally through placement or graduate-level work, though not essential
Basic understanding of construction materials
At least 4 GCSE's (Or Equivalent) Grade A-C.
Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail
Good communication and interpersonal skills
A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges
Competence in Microsoft Office and an interest in developing knowledge of construction software
